Dialogue with a Two and a half year old.

A conversation between my nephew and me:

JT: Do you wanna go to the basement with me?
Me: The basement?! Where the boogie man lives?
JT: Yeah!
Me: Okay. You're very brave.

We head downstairs and poke around.

JT: Where do you think the boogie man lives?
Me: I dunno. Where do you think?
JT: Behind the washing machine!
Me: Behind the washing machine - he probably smells like detergent!
JT: Yeah. He probably smells like da turtle. The boogie man is like a turtle.
