I just discovered, I'd rather not know how many months after the fact, all the cool things I could do with Scattered Wits if I upgraded to the new blogger editor. (Why didn't you tell me, Kate!) I don't like this current template so much, but I do like the way it allows me to make the pictures bigger. Expect some design changes to the blog in the coming days or weeks if I have a bit more time.

Grandpa's memorial service was a Sunday evening in June, so after worshipping at Blacknall together we had Indian food at the Hawkins' and tea at Raspberry Ridge before the service.
One of the many sweet reunion this summer was a quick visit with Katelynn, my freshman year suitemate, who transferred to a school in Virginia. I got to meet her fiance too.
This little black dog is my newest canine friend, Luke. After the VBS program one Friday evening in July, we saw him wandering on Farmstead Road behind the church. His tags didn't have a phone number and no one in any nearby houses was home to claim him (I carried him from door to door), so we brought him back to church and called the police department. They gave us his address and phone number, but his owners weren't there so we brought him home with us because I couldn't imagine leaving him to get struck by a car in the dark. He really is a very nice little dog. I brought him back to his home the next morning, but it was a bit anticlimactic because the guy who answered the door hadn't realized the dog was missing. So much for being the hero.I post this picture just because I like it. Apparently the red shirt is a favorite one.

The APs and Mary and I spent a lovely day down the shore at Ocean Grove and then had dinner overlooking the riverfront as the sun set.
One day with Megan wasn't enough -- but it sure was nice.
